Frequently Asked Questions (LIS)
An issue of multiple LRN happens when the school or other schools created another LRN for a single learner who already had an existing LRN with different data sets. The data of these two or more LRNs pertaining to a single learner must be merged into one.
The school should send the RF01 to their respective Division or Region. Only the Divisions or Regions are authorized to screen and forward these to the Central Office.
The oldest created LRN will prevail. The LIS system automatically detects which LRN was created first.
No, the private school should not decline the electronic transfer request.
The private school should still confirm the transfer-out request in the LIS from the receiving school and check the “With Unsettled Account” box. This allows the private school to track the learner and withhold physical/official hardcopy records (SF10) without blocking the learner’s online system transition and enrollment.
It is strictly the school’s responsibility to resolve, update, or escalate any LIS issues concerning a learner. Learners and parents should not be burdened with system navigation.
This is to ensure the absolute accuracy of the learner’s Enrollment History, which is critical for transfer tracks (transfer in and out) and funding tracking.
